Ruth says to drink a glass of wine. Of course, it I drank a glass of wine I would be under the machine. But, apparently, it helps some people relax and get a rhythm going.
have you looked into a Supreame Slider (a teflon sheet that makes the quilt sandwich slide really easily) and one of Sharon Shamber's halos (described as a steering wheel for FMQ - light pressure is all you need to steer the quilt)? I have heard it helps alot with control..I am going to get a set for me..
There is a slippery doodad in your future - tomorrow maybe. I was not comfortable with the 'halo' and found it awkward to manipulate. With my arthritic fingers I thought it would help, but the fingers don't want to hold on. I have better luck with one or two 3"X6" pieces of the waffley stuff Rubbermaid makes for the bottoms of drawers. I should have sent you some - I have a lifetime (mine) supply. Sorry. Del

ReplyDeleteIn this instance, music *does* help. At least it does for me. Relaxes me just enough. Good luck.

ReplyDeleteSuze,
ReplyDeleteI was just looking online at both of those items. I think I may need them.
