I've been trying, over the past week or two, to think of what the true opposite of intolerance is. I thought I had it with "compassion" but I think it might also be you!
Good for you. Why are people so afraid of what they don't know anything about, don't understand, and don't care to learn about? For me, if it is someone's holy book, then it should be respected. Period. The whole thing makes me think of the song from South Pacific: You've got to be taught to hate and fear.
What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI agree - a good day for it.

When I looked at your illustration, I thought it was a quilt block. Now I'm wondering what sort of religious tolerance quilt Winnowings might design.
ReplyDeleteBrava!
ReplyDeleteAll this hate and intolerance over a mere book?? Or books.
ReplyDeleteYou INSPIRE me! Thanx so much for this post!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your openness and lack of bigotry.
