I’ve spent the past weeks gathering records and sending forms and records to various agencies. It is a good thing to keep busy.I do have a comfort zone. My stash sits waiting for me to plunge in and start creating something positive. Thank goodness I have a bountiful stash because my fabric forays are going to be limited in the future.
I want to thank all the people who commented on my last two posts. Your words have kept me going.

ReplyDeleteWhat a pain in the buns...i cant believe how much paperwork you have to dig thru, and what is it all needed for?(seems ridiculous if you ask me) But you are right...its probably a good distraction.

It never ceases to amaze me how paperwork descends at bad times ... upon a death, when one is bent over double from labor pains or with a burst appendix.
ReplyDeleteSpeak up when the stash gets low. I know that I have enough fabric to last for a millenium, and I suspect that others may as well.
It is quite incredible--all that has to be done, filed, etc. isn't it? Remembering the year my parents died. So much to do. Glad to see your post today. I've been thinking about you.

I understand your paperwork load - Floyd and I had 2-1/2 years to get everything straightened out and still there were things we didn't anticipate, so I spent a lot of time doing just what you are doing now. Keeping busy is an important part of the healing process, I think. And the two of you lived, loved and worked close together for so many years - I know this is a really rocky road. Along with all your online friends I'm sending good thoughts. And I will send fabric when you ask! Del
