About Me
- Name: Christine Thresh
- Location: On an Island in the California Delta
I am a quilter. My first memory is a Noah’s Ark quilt. Mr. and Mrs. Noah, the Ark, and all the animals walking toward the boat on a curving path, were appliquéd on it. The back of the quilt was yellow with red flowers. I could re-draw that quilt today from memory. I didn’t know I was a quilter until 1994. Before that I had a huge fabric collection.

Oh yeah, I sew like that too.
She must like unsewing!
Generally it's more like catching the side of an opposing piece when I wasn't supposed to.
That, and I think my hair might just be mussier.
Happy Thanksgiving Christine!
I have a Favta sewing machine which was distributed by Vigorelli. I'll try a link here to see if it works:
My Favta
What a lovely fanciful poster! I envy you. I have never heard of any of these sewing machines. Where have I been? When my mother bought a Pfaff zigzag sometime before 1955 it was an object of awe in our neighborhood. As far as I know it is still sewing, if my sister ever gets around to sewing at all! Great machine and probably why I prefer Pfaff. Mine is a 1975 1222E.
What an interesting post, with added info!
I had a few machines in my sewing history, & wish I had photos of them all now. I still have my Grandmother's old treadly Singer, which is what I learnt to sew with, & I do regard it as a treasure!
