About Me
- Name: Christine Thresh
- Location: On an Island in the California Delta
I am a quilter. My first memory is a Noah’s Ark quilt. Mr. and Mrs. Noah, the Ark, and all the animals walking toward the boat on a curving path, were appliquéd on it. The back of the quilt was yellow with red flowers. I could re-draw that quilt today from memory. I didn’t know I was a quilter until 1994. Before that I had a huge fabric collection.

I sympathize. I'm what you might call a "knit-wit". I admired the cloth in the previous post, though. Very textural.
Oh, heck. I just saw that you'd already used the phrase "knit wit" as a title for a previous post. I wonder if my use was due to noticing it subliminally on your page? What a strange mind I have ...
Christine, I agree with you. I have tried knitting and first, could never get the hang of it and second, it really didn't thrill me like sewing and quilting. I do like to crochet, and I love all the new wonderful yarns that are out there, but of course, quilting comes first. I am glad so many people get a charge out of knitting, but I am definitely not one of them! Your preferences certainly are the same as mine!
Thanks for your delightful blog. I enjoy it as often as I can.
