No cradle fell…
…when this bough broke. It wasn’t even windy. Wham – we heard a big thump and rustling and went out to see a big willow limb teetering on the edge of the back porch. It was fortunate that the 4-inch-diameter limb did not hit the storage shed or the air conditioner. It didn’t even damage the porch rail. Very odd.

Lucky break - as they say. Glad everything is ok except for the poor tree branch.
Wow, lucky you! But poor poor willow.
You are lucky there was no damage done.
Gum trees often suddenly just drop limbs. No one is sure why.
