Robert picked a bunch of radishes from the little ziggurat garden bed. He had to clear out a lot of radishes to give the carrots some room to grow.Labels: family, food, home, island life

I am a quilter. My first memory is a Noah’s Ark quilt. Mr. and Mrs. Noah, the Ark, and all the animals walking toward the boat on a curving path, were appliquéd on it. The back of the quilt was yellow with red flowers. I could re-draw that quilt today from memory. I didn’t know I was a quilter until 1994. Before that I had a huge fabric collection.

Oh one of my favorites - I love them in salads - and in potato salad and just sliced to eat - or even whole to mucnh for a snack.
Christine I think your weather was misplaced last week, I found it up here in WA. It was really hot here for over a week...ok....really hot is misnomer, but for us Puget Sounders, it was hot! The clouds are back, so you should be back to your regularly scheduled sunshine.
Tell Robert his radishes are beauties! Wonder how come the color makers don't do a Radish Red car?
I love radishes! Usually, I am the only one that eats them, but I have discovered a new salad with watermelon, orange & radishes with small salad leaves, olives & a light dressing of Extra virgin olive oil, with a little fresh lemon juice. Even Gom loves it.
