Rainy Day Fantasy
I've been mulling over decorating ideas and light fixtures for my new office/sewing area. I found some wild ones in an LA Times remodeling article. My husband did not react positively. Click on the highlighted link and see all 14 photos. (Or try this link: http://www.latimes.com/features/home/la-hm-moroccan21feb21,0,7555164.story ) I love the whole thing.

Oh, dear - I with your husband in this. As much as I love bright colors I couldn't live in such a garish house. The stairway alone would do me in!!
I am with your husband too. I need quiet!
I love it! And I have a starburst-shaped punched metal light that produces that wonderful scattered glow. Got it for ten bucks at a Latino festival. If you like Moroccan design, check out Violette Clark's Weird Homes video at http://www.violettesfolkart.com/press.html
Marvelous. Colorful. Inspiring. Why not have some fun with the environment you spend so much time in?

Oh.... I love it too!Don't think my DH would go for it though.

Oh wow! my DH had a fit when I said I wanted shocking pink, red and turquoise.
That's how I ended up with the duck egg blue and the 'safe' colour scheme.
Go for it!
The colors are luscious! The walls in my sewing space are a bright blue with a brown shade with turquoise and green trees and alligators. I vote COLOR!
vivien,
I'd love to see photos of your sewing space.
