Small Acquisition Requires Major Reorganization
Delta Island – December 3, 2007
“We are facing a huge re-do of our operation,” said Chief Operations Manager Christine Thresh today. “We recently acquired a small Janome Jem and now realize the entire production area will have to be reorganized,” she said.
The new machinery came into headquarters on November 16, 2007. There was great excitement and joy at the time. Robert Thresh, Logistics Officer, said he foresees “hard work ahead before expanded production can commence.”
When questioned, Jem said, “I can’t work in this chaos, but I am confident they will get organized soon.”

LOL - congratulations on the new addition to the family. I'm sure Jem will acclimate to her new surroundings soon.
This is an amusingly serendipitous post, because I was looking in the bowels of a similar storage cabinet today and thinking I need to do something to it. (Perhaps something involving a wrecking ball and a steam shovel?)
It's fun getting a peek at your stash.
What do you like about your Janome thus far?
I don't think I can get a steam shovel in my little room, but that is a good idea.
So far, I like the little Jem because it does zig zag stitches and other interesting things. I have to get a 1/4" foot and a darning foot now. My "main machine" does a beautiful straight stitch and has a large harp so I will keep on using it.
Want me to come down and give you a helping hand. I am very experienced at shoveling out studios!!
You are too funny.
So, should I get another sewing machine?
*snerk*
I would suggest acquiring a new machine IF your sewing area is overcrowded or messy. If it is neat and tidy you don't need a new sewing machine yet.
I laughed at the 'dont get a new machine while your studio is tidy' idea! I obtained a second machine, & it is lost under a pile of UFOs & WIPs. I am too ashamed to photograph it all!
Oh my -- thanks for making me chuckle!
I hope my Gem doesn't get word of this. He/she doesn't know there is such a thing as a organized sewing room:)
Sheri
THAT was Monday.
TODAY is Saturday.
Did we loose you?
8^)
Quilting Fitzy,
It was just as our Logistics Officer said “hard work ahead before expanded production can commence.”
I am overwhelmed and am working on a plan. I hope to post later on Saturday.
I love this photo.
It proves it's not just me.
Thank you!
