This darn block is not working. I have a concept in my mind but I can’t get it to go together. I’d better go back to reading.
I finished Julie & Julia, and last night I read the last page in My Life in France. I have Silks by Dick Francis to read next. Or maybe I’d better work on my block for the 4th again. I am getting behind – it is the 7th of September.
Some days that just happens. I tried a raindrop with tulips relfected in it - looked like a big onion with tulips on it - then tried just raindrops on blue - turned out looking like a monster face - so out it all went and I went a different way.
We are born to cloth. It is the second thing we touch after our mother.
I am a quilter. My first memory is a Noah’s Ark quilt. Mr. and Mrs. Noah, the Ark, and all the animals walking toward the boat on a curving path, were appliquéd on it. The back of the quilt was yellow with red flowers. I could re-draw that quilt today from memory.
I didn’t know I was a quilter until 1994. Before that I had a huge fabric collection.

Good luck with your block for the fourth.
Thanks for your encouragement. I was frustrated. I tried twice to make the block.
Today, I did it! I am so pleased. Third time was the charm for this one. I will post the "Reading Glasses" block tomorrow.
