Long Way to Go

I still have miles and miles and miles to walk, but I’ve been so good with my program which started February 2, 2007.

Long lines to sew before Tuesday. I’m trying to get this quilted and bound and photographed for the “Going Around In Circles, Again” pattern. Why did I decide to hand quilt it when I am in a hurry?

Way to go, Christine!

The circles are looking lovely, too. How are you marking the straight lines? I'm doing straight-line quilting on the unmentionable antique quilt remake, but I'm just eyeballing it, going from corner to corner of each little square....ugh!

I'm using masking tape. I rigged up a 45 degree straight edge with two long rulers (masking tape holding them together) and laid down the center line. It seems an easy way to me and the straight lines are all the width of the tape.
But, I bet your corner to corner plan works just fine. It is probably easier than clearing off the dining room table each time I need to add new lines.
I'll be waiting to see a picture of your antique quilt remake soon.

Why the hand quilting? Because when you started, it didn't look as big? I think it looks wonderful Christine. I am waiting as patiently as possible for my 'rings' so I can get some background fabric! I just know if I get the fabric first, it won't work and then I would have to buy more...rats!
