Precarious Perch
I just spotted Blackie napping, but he looks as if he could slide off the pile any minute. I guess he got really tired on our morning walk.
We (Coach Robert, Christine, Blackie) are walking every day now, a mile a day.
I am making great progress with my Journal quilt, but it is secret. I am taking progress pictures which can be shown in November when the Houston Quilt Festival opens.

Blackie looks like he could be my George's smaller brother -- don't suppose he has a tiny spot of white on his throat? George weighs in at 20lbs, so maybe I need to send him to you for a fitness program... ;)
Amy,
I didn't see your e-mail address on your blog so I am posting here. Welcome to blogging!
Blackie is a small cat, but has no white spots anywhere. Solid black from tail to toe.
He walks with us and then sits down and lets us take a few laps on our own while he watches from the sideline, then he joins us again. Smart cat. He does just enough to keep his figure.
I love the fact that Blackie is walking with you, if intermittently. It's a rare kitty who will do that.
Today -- Sunday, August 26th -- we had FOUR cats walking with us. Blackie (he is a regular), Feather (our fluffy white cat), Getoutahere (a golden stray cat), the cat from next door (a little black housecat that is not allowed out). Then, Aucuba (our grouchy 15-year-old) sat on the porch steps and watched us.
It was really odd.
