About Me
- Name: Christine Thresh
- Location: On an Island in the California Delta
I am a quilter. My first memory is a Noah’s Ark quilt. Mr. and Mrs. Noah, the Ark, and all the animals walking toward the boat on a curving path, were appliquéd on it. The back of the quilt was yellow with red flowers. I could re-draw that quilt today from memory. I didn’t know I was a quilter until 1994. Before that I had a huge fabric collection.

What a great idea!
I agree - a good day for it.
amen, sister.
I've been trying, over the past week or two, to think of what the true opposite of intolerance is. I thought I had it with "compassion" but I think it might also be you!
Good for you.
Why are people so afraid of what they don't know anything about, don't understand, and don't care to learn about? For me, if it is someone's holy book, then it should be respected. Period. The whole thing makes me think of the song from South Pacific: You've got to be taught to hate and fear.
When I looked at your illustration, I thought it was a quilt block. Now I'm wondering what sort of religious tolerance quilt Winnowings might design.
Brava!
All this hate and intolerance over a mere book?? Or books.
You INSPIRE me! Thanx so much for this post!
Thank you for your openness and lack of bigotry.
