I hope you are all snuggled in quilts and sitting by a warm fire today – the first day of winter.
When the power goes off, as it did here today for a few hours, everything you want to do calls for electricity. You think, “Well, I’ll bake some cookies,” or “I’ll sew some quilt blocks,” or “I’ll scan some photos.” No you can’t.
We took a nap.

Isn't that so true! I always come up with something like, "well, I can't sew, and I can't read blogs, maybe I'll vacuum?" That doesn't work either!

You need to learn to knit.
It is incredible really, how much we have come to rely so heavily on our electricity supplies!
A nap sounds nice.
Lovely little winter quilt! Hey what a great excuse to take a nap! You're right. Without electricity the only warm place would be in the bed.
M-m-m-m, I've always suspected that is why I have a September birthday!
